TIBO's Audio Workshop is the specialist audio repair division of TIBO Electronics, an independent electronics business based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

We specialise in the diagnosis, repair and restoration of guitar amplifiers, professional audio equipment and selected electronic systems. From vintage valve amplifiers to modern solid-state and powered audio equipment, every unit is assessed carefully and treated with precision and respect.

Rates / Terms

Initial Assessment / Diagnosis — from £30

An initial assessment / diagnostic charge applies to equipment accepted for fault-finding. The exact charge may vary depending on the type, size and complexity of the equipment. Where a repair is approved, this charge may be included in the agreed repair price.

If the equipment is found to be uneconomical to repair, if the required parts are unavailable, or if the customer decides not to proceed after diagnosis, the diagnostic charge remains payable.

Repair Pricing

Whenever reasonably possible, we will provide an estimated repair price or an agreed maximum authorised amount before proceeding. Estimates are based on the faults identifiable at that stage and are not a guarantee that no additional faults will be discovered.

If further problems are found and the repair is likely to exceed the agreed estimate or authorised limit, we will contact you before carrying out significant additional work. Parts and specialist materials are charged where applicable.

For work that cannot reasonably be quoted as a fixed repair, labour may be charged from £40 per hour, with the scope and likely cost discussed in advance.

Warranty

Completed repairs are supplied with a Repair Completion and Warranty Form describing the work carried out and the applicable warranty period.

The warranty applies to the repair work and the parts supplied by us, subject to the terms stated on the repair documentation. It does not cover unrelated faults, misuse, accidental damage, external causes, consumable items, or failures in parts of the equipment that were not involved in the original repair.

Practical Repair Terms

Repairs are accepted subject to initial assessment; not every unit or fault can be economically repaired.
Any initial estimate is provisional until diagnosis has progressed sufficiently.
No significant additional work above an agreed estimate / authorised ceiling will be carried out without customer approval.
Intermittent faults may not always be reproducible in workshop conditions; testing can only confirm the behaviour observed during the assessment period.
Where specialist or obsolete parts are required, completion time depends on parts availability.
Customers should remove unnecessary accessories and clearly identify any accessories left with the equipment.
Collection should be arranged after confirmation that the repair and final testing are complete.
